Description
This is a beautiful regulation nine button officer frock with a fantastic heavily quilted liner and eagle “A” buttons throughout. It has some minor field repairs as shown but easily is a 9 on a 10 scale for condition. The style and cut indicates manufacture circa 1862. Most tunics would barely fit a modern teenager but this guy must have been a relative giant! The shoulders are a generous 38-40 and the skirts indicate he was likely around 6 feet tall! This is a beautiful frock with stunning shoulder straps and would be the highlight of most Civil War uniform or artillery collection displays.
