Description
Fresh from an estate in Illinois, this sword was reported by the family as being used by an officer on a Mississipi River gunboat based in Missouri, but they had no concrete evidence or even a name other than “Stevenson.” The sword is a textbook Model 1852 and retains the full original shagreen covered grip and wire wrap. The overall patina is totally untouched and the sharkskin is exceptional. If you want an honest field worn Navy officer sword, you have found it!
