Description
Cuff, vest or kepi size domed button retaining 75%+ original gilt and with a firm, solid shank intact. The backmark is that of Scoville Manufacturing and the style is circa 1861-1863. By regulation an officer button, this type was heavily used by enlistedmen as well in the Northern army during the Civil War years.
