Description
Excellent and unmolested Nazi “heer” helmet with partial liner and maker stamps plus US inspection stamp for mailing home! This helmet was mailed to the US from Germany in 1945 by Cpl. Ronald Wilkinson who served in the 61st Armored Infantry Brigade. It was found in the family house attic in a trunk along with several other souvenirs from his tour from 1943-1945. Wilkinson saw extensive combat action in France and Germany and wrote his wife just about weekly, from the pile of letters that were also in the trunk!
