Description

Fresh as they ever come, this is a totally honest and matching Colt M1911 .45 pistol manufactured in 1914.  It just came directly out of a family in eastern NC and was carried by Sgt. Wilbur Rhue who served in the US Army Air Corps in WW2.  By family history, he served in the China Burma India theatre as an air crew member early in the War.

This fine old pistol comes with the original shoulder holster as shown and the magazine is LOADED with original WWII ammunition headstamped RA 41 (Remington Arms contract of 1941). This hefty battle weapon likely also saw service in WWI.  According to the Springfield Research Database, the pistol serial number falls directly in the range of M1911’s that were issued to the American China Burma India CBI battle groups!  If you want a totally honest, fresh and original DOCUMENTED classic military handgun which can be researched quite a bit more, here ya go!
