Description
One of the uncommon rarities out there, an original “bullet stitched” Richmond Depot, Virginia, issued sword belt rig with matching plate. This item was in a well respected collection for over half a century until recently sold for the estate. The leather is a bit stiff and brittle and has broken at a sewing seam for the sword straps (not present) but it is as honest and unmolested as you will likely EVER see. One of only a few dozen known to have survived at all.
