Description
Circa 1855-63 era original cartridge, complete, for a French LeFaucheaux big bore 11mm/.43-45 pinfire revolver as used in the Civil War by both Union and Confederate forces. Found in a Civil War union percussion cap pouch, this single bullet may have been a memento of a soldier in the field or a trophy of war…we’ll never know. This is a pretty rare item seldom seen on the collector market. Most antique pinfire ammunition available today is of the smaller civilian size.
