Description

A true rarity of history, this is a 100% bona-fide Sharps rifle that was purchased for the 1st or 2nd US Sharpshooters in 1862.  It is one of an estimated 2,000 purchased of which only 52 are known to have survived.

The Berdan Sharps has a set trigger and was made to be used with a socket bayonet.  It is a Model 1859 and chambered in .52 caliber Sharps. The barrel is 30″.

This sniper rifle likely saw service in the biggest battles of the Civil War including Chancellorsville and Gettysburg!

There is an area of minor damage under the breech end of the forestock and a small section of wood has been replaced.

This is your opportunity to add an incredibly rare and historical weapon to your collection at a fraction of what one recently sold for at auction!
