Description
Beautiful example of an American silver coin that was recovered by a relic hunter decades ago from a known Confederate camp in Fredericksburg, Virginia. At some point in time is was “holed” and likely used as a pendant or even an ID piece. Someone attempted to fill in the hole, perhaps to again use it for coinage. Either way, a very rare and historical find!
