Description
Very pleasing oval US belt plate with the early War type puppy paw studs often associated with mounted infantry and cavalry troops. Wonderful condition with a thin coating of thinned archival epoxy applied to the full lead solder filler on the reverse side. The front of the plate retains slight traces of the original gilt finish.
