Description

Dead real and honest field worn Imperial Japanese Navy officer visor cap as brought back by a US Marine in the 1st Marine Division from the Pacific in 1945.  By family history, it was taken at the Battle of Peleliu by the local marine (now deceased).  Some family history and provenance available.  Shows field wear and use and has kanji inside which is likely the name of the Japanese officer.
