The Pedersoli® 1859 Sharps Infantry Rifle is a meticulously crafted historical reproduction of the original 1859 Sharps Infantry Rifle. The Rifle features a case-hardened frame and blued barrel finish and is made to fire .54 caliber paper cartridges. The Sharps Infantry Rifle also features a patch box built into the stock as well as a single smooth action trigger and a beautiful American walnut stock. Pedersoli® has manufactured the rifle to comply with N-SSA (North-South Skirmish Association) requirements and is approved for use in N-SSA sanctioned reenacting events and competitions.
The rifle features a 30-inch barrel with a rifling twist ratio of 1:48, perfectly designed for the mini ball and other mid-1800’s styled conical projectiles. The rifle’s overall length measures a very manageable 46 7/8″-inches and the gun weighs just 10 lbs.
