Description

This fine unit guidon recently was found in an estate sale in coastal Maine with the only notation on it being an inked name,  “Lt. Chapel.”  It measures 27” on the hoist by 40” on the fly, which is the regulation size for an artillery battery in WW2.

The 240th Coast Artillery, Maine National Guard, was federalized in 1941 for US Army service.  I located the unit photo online via Google.
