This is an incredibly well made example of a small bore Civil War howitzer on a high quality field or prairie type carriage that is READY TO FIRE! The bore is over 2″ and the powder charge is usually about 4 ounces of black powder–believe me, you’d better cover your ears!
Used by a Civil War artillery living historian, this setup was fired for many years in the field to show how a cannon works, looks and sounds. All parts are well made and the tube is of a very high quality, intended for live fire use. This setup includes all implements needed to fire the beast other than powder. You can use either fuse or friction primers for ignition. Even the leather gunners pouch is included!
