US Model 1840 enlisted musician’s sword, Ames 1864

Description

This is a solid example of the sword issued to Civil War musicians and has a crisp and clear set of maker, inspector and date marks on the ricasso.  At some point in time it lost its leather scabbard so it is priced accordingly.
