Description
One of only a few score known made in this manner with a guard more like a line officer but the details of a staff officer—very early War or possibly antebellum. This sword surfaced at an estate sale in Ohio with no known family history. It is untouched and in attic condition but unfortunately lost its scabbard at some point in time.
