Description
This is a beautiful example of the M1863 .58 rifled musket as issued to Union forces in 1863-1865. The bore is near mint and all metal parts are crisp and bright with clean markings. The wood likewise is fine overall other than a small gouge near the front nosecap as shown—some are known to have had slings wrapped in that area, so it could be from field wear and use. If you want a REALLY nice, solid example you have found it!
