Description
This is an incredibly cool looking double barrel pistol that was manufactured in Belgium in the late 1850s era. It features dual folding triggers and light engraving on the frame. The breech opens via a push button and there actually is a functional sight mechanism! The action is tight and everything functions as it should. This weapon was in an old North Carolina collection and shows the effects of many years of storage in an uncontrolled temperature environment. It has scattered light to moderate pitting as shown but will clean up pretty nicely, if so desired. All parts are original!
It only measures about 6.5″ long so is classified as a boot pistol. Soldiers often carried these little backup weapons into the field as a form of personal protection.
